✞𝕯𝖗𝖆𝖈𝖚𝖑𝖆✞ DR VAN HELSING is a woman?! 'You noticed!' This costume seems to be quite the popular among many! The wonderful Sunjoo made these split skirt pants, to reflect a time when ladies were breaking the barrier away from gender expectation *TW:IMAGES CONTAIN DEPICTIONS OF BLOOD, VIOLENCE* DRACULA:A FEMINIST REVENGE FANTASY, REALLY is out now until October 18th! This is my second stint into designing a show and making it come to life. I, along with the other costume shop members, dedica ☆Introduction ☆ Salutations and Greetings! I'd like to introduce myself here on instagram, and talk about about my costuming journey! My name is Alexis and I'm a Costumer & Designer, currently enrolled at Fullerton College. I discovered costuming 𝕾𝖍𝖊 𝕶𝖎𝖑𝖑𝖘 𝕸𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 2024 . . A throwback from almost a YEAR ago?! I finally decided I wanted to post some side by sides of my designs from the production of SKM last fall! As I sift through I will be posting some more photos of the res She Kills Monsters apprectiation post! What more can be said? I want to send a hug appreciation to the wardrobe team!! They did so well, this is the first time Genny nor I were working backstage of any show in a really long time. Everyone held the fo Okay okay, here's my costume build for Romeo&Juliet... This is called KAFTAN, it's basically 2 rectangles sewn together. The pattern was a little confusing, but once I grasped the concept, everything fell into place. Last pic is me trying it on Romeo et Juliet... Lots of mask making, and I wish I took a photo of the mask being worn! Alas! Here's my creation, from some sort of concept doodle 😅 Also how Fourth Planet's octopus was born... What a cast! This semester of shows has just been phe With the semester coming to an end (and me forgetting to post my last 9 to 5 project photos), I look back fondly on my pieces throughout this year! I learned alot and I can't wait for the next show. I really love my school and the people I get to wor More photos of the Dance of Death gown that Judy wears in 9 to 5! I have never made a dress on the bias before, so it was an interesting experience. There's nothing like seeing your costumes up on the stage though! Dance of Death gown, which I dearly wish I posted earlier 🤧🤧 this dress was simple but made me a bit neurotic.
